Host: Amy Matheny with guest host Tracy Baim

Amy and Tracy tackle Jodie Foster's coming out at the Golden Globes. What did they like and dislike about her coming out speech? They also discuss how Foster's coming out compares to Anderson Cooper and other recent celebrity stories.

Guest: Co-host of the Queercast, Kelli Simpkins joins Amy to talk about her new play Teddy Ferrara, written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Christopher Shinn. Kelli discusses the queer protagonist in the show, Gabe, and what happens to this character and characters around him when tragedy happens. She explains how it relates to other University, gay and bullying real life stories. Kelli also shares her own coming out story, how everyone grapples with their own sexual identity and what advice Gina Davis gave her before starting her career in New York. Teddy Ferrara is at the Goodman Theatre starting Feb 2nd thru March 3rd.
