WCQ633 The Queercast is Ending on a High Note with SCOTUS Marriage Equality Ruling
2015-07-07
Host: Amy Matheny
It's our last show! Holy cow! Amy gives a very heartfelt goodbye and thank you to all of our wonderful listeners.
Jim Bennett of Lambda Legal joins Amy for our final Queercast interview. Amy has a fantastic conversation with Jim Bennett regarding the historical SCOTUS ruling for Marriage Equality across the country. They also talk Pride celebrations, getting married, ENDA, and what is next for them now that this ruling has happened.
A new voice but an old soul of the Queercast, production editor Di Stuercke joins Amy on the show for the first time. They share a few giggles and memories from working on the show together for the last eight years.
AND for one final time, the fabulous Mitchell Fain joins Amy for an emotional goodbye. These two have been on the couch laughing, dishing, disagreeing and learning from each other for so many years together. It wouldn't have been the same show without his voice on our last show.
One of our most loyal listeners, James, has left us a final sweet message of thanks.

WCQ629 The Tony Awards with Scotty D and Amy
2015-06-08
Host: Amy Matheny with Scott Duff
Amy and Scotty D are back on the couch watching the Tony Awards! It's all about the high holidays, the shows, the music, and of course, The Mirren. They rank how gay it was with Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth hosting the show, the commercial break that killed them both, and this was the highest grossing season on Broadway! They dish on some winners including revivals of The King and I and An American in Paris, and the best new musical, Fun Home. It's a huge show!
Music Featured on This Queercast: Kelli O'Hara, Ken Watanabe, Ted Sperling & Orchestra - "Shall We Dance" and Sydney Lucas & Beth Malone - "Ring of Keys"
